Joyce Cotter

Joyce Elaine Cotter passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13th 2020, at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her husband William Lee Cotter, son William Cotter, and daughter Kelly Yates. Joyce is survived by her daughters Cynthia Cotter, Candace Fisher and Julie Plank; her sister Elaine van Hartesvelt, brother-in-law Wayne van Hartesvelt; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Joyce loved playing bridge with her friends at Pine Lake Country Club where her and Mr. Cotter were lifetime members. Above all, Joyce was known for being kind, generous, smart, funny, and a talented artist. She loved her family, friends and all of her pets dearly. Joyce will be buried with her husband and son at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Mt. Holly Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Waterford Township Library. A memorial celebration of her life will be determined at a later date.
