Kathleen Susan Hubbard

Kathleen Susan “Kathy” Hubbard; of Lake Orion, Michigan, at the age of 71 passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025 surrounded by family with love.  Born on October 16, 1953, Kathy lived a full and generous life devoted to her family, faith, and community.  Kathy was a strong leader and an anchor for her husband, children, and grandchildren.  Throughout her life, Kathy had a strong Faith in God and was an active member of the Lake Orion Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  She taught Bible school, helped run VBS, and enjoyed prayer meetings.  Kathy has been the Charter President of the VFW Auxiliary 334 and has supported her husband’s role as the Commander.  She has held significant positions as a bank teller, manager for Pine Knob Ski Resort’s café, and manager at Kroger.  Kathy enjoyed a variety of hobbies, showing much talent with her quilts, homemade crafts, and home cooked meals.  Kathy loved to collect figurines, display flowers in her gardens, and sell Avon or Pampered Chef.  No matter what she got involved in, Kathy approached her work with a high level of effort and dedication.  Kathy was a strong and compassionate presence in her community, where she found joy in giving back and connecting with others.  Kathy’s legacy is one of love, strength, and service.  Her faith and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her.  She is survived by her husband James; her sons, Tim (Tamara), Todd (Melissa), and Troy (Necole); and her grandchildren Skyler, Eleena, Miles, Eriana, Isabella, and Mia, all of whom she cherished and connected with deeply.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date this year.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.
