In Loving Memory of Kathy Diane Taylor born on February 23, 1953 to the late Mr. Jimmy Green Sr. and Mrs. Mable Green of Pontiac, Michigan. Our Mother was called Home on September 15, 2021, receiving her Golden Wings. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1970. Our Mom Enjoyed Family Time: Drive-In Movies, Fox Theater for Karate movies on Sunday, Ballroom Dancing, Rollerskating, Ice-skating, Bowling, Cooking, Cookouts(bbq), Playing Cards, Traveling to Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, St. Louis and Las Vegas to be with Family. One of the most Special Events to Mom was Celebrating her Birthday with her Baby sister, Detra; their birthdays were one day apart. When Mom was younger she had a passion for Swimming, Gymnastics, Racing Cars and Driving or Riding on Motorcycles.
Mom had a Tremendous Heart, gave Unconditional Love and Support to everyone no matter what was going on in her Life at that time. We as her children were instilled with Values, Morals, Respect, and to Love ourselves first and foremost, and treat others the same way you want to be treated. We are Grateful and will Forever Cherish the countless Loving Memories of Our Mom. May Our Mom Rest In Peace as she is now Celebrating a Forever Life with her Family!
Kathy was preceded in Death by her parents Jimmy and Mable Green; siblings Jimmy Green Jr., Garry Green, Mitchell Green Sr., Detra Davis; grandson Daelon Butler. Aunts: Marietta Davis, Edith Moses, Kate Martin, Geneva Williams, Arlene Pettis, Rebecca Woods, Imogene Fladger, and Thelma Williams. Uncles: Edward Lee, Alfred & Albert Chandler, Jessie & Lesie Witherspoon, Samuel & L.C. Green.
Kathy Diane Taylor is The Loving Mother of DeShun(Christopher) Herring, Domonique(Marc) Tymes, Flirteé(Karla) Taylor; Grandmother of Quaniqua, Alexis H., Jayshawn, Alexis T., Marc II, Epiphany, Flirt'Asia, D'MaeA, DeShonda, Daryl; Great Grandmother of Jasia, Mayceo, Skylar, Avery, Brielle, Kaiden, Mai'Syn, JessiMarie; Niece of Louise King and Bessie Witherspoon, sister-in- law of John Davis; Aunt of Shalana, Michael, Deaundra, Mitchell Jr., Grant(Jessica) Green, Alissa(Joshua) Burns, Shante, Johnetta; Great Aunt of Kendyl, Jamarion, Levi, Luke, London, Jonbrielle, Lytyrionna, Braelynn and great-great Aunt of Embrie. Kathy leaves behind a host of loving cousins and dear friends.
Funeral service will be help at Sparks Griffin Funeral Home on September the 29th, 2021 at 1pm. Family will receive friends from 11am until time of service. Internment at Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
