Kenneth "Ken" Jones, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, was born on July 8, 1966, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Thomas and Elizabeth Jones. On June 10, 2026, Ken peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, friendship, and cherished memories.

Ken accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Zion Refuge. Throughout his life, his faith remained an important foundation and source of strength.

As a young man, Ken developed many interests that would stay with him throughout his life. He was an avid automobile enthusiast who enjoyed building model cars and following Formula One racing. He raced BMX bicycles at Waterford Oaks Park, where he earned numerous medals and trophies. Ken was also an accomplished chess player and stamp collector, demonstrating the curiosity and attention to detail that would characterize him throughout his life.

Ken attended Pontiac Northern High School, graduating in 1984. During his school years, he proudly played drums in both the marching band and jazz band. Ken was a standout track athlete in high school, specializing in the hurdles. At one point, he ranked fifth in the state and earned numerous medals and titles through his success in track and field competitions. His dedication, talent, and competitive spirit made him a respected athlete and a source of pride for his family and community. Following graduation, he attended the University of Nebraska and later Baker College, where he earned a degree in Computer Information Technology.

As an adult, Ken's passion for racing continued through remote-control and gas-powered car racing. He frequently competed at Larry's Performance in Utica, where he developed many lasting friendships within the racing community and enjoyed the thrill of competition. He was also an enthusiastic Warhammer player and built an impressive collection of custom-painted and assembled models. In addition, Ken was a devoted student of history, possessing extensive knowledge of world history and the American Civil War, topics he enjoyed discussing with family and friends.

On August 12, 2000, Ken married the love of his life, Kecia Jackson. Together they shared 25 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, devotion, and treasured memories. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Jaiah Jones, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.

Ken will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, sense of humor, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His presence enriched the lives of all who knew him, and his memory will forever be treasured.
