Kenneth J. Kemp

Kenneth James Kemp; born August 12, 1935; died February 15, 2018 at the age of 82. In 1962 he married Twiley and together they had two daughters Dawn (Howard) Dean and Colene (Michael) Paselk. He was a devoted and loving husband, father & grandfather. He is survived by his wife; daughters; 4 grandsons, Daniel, Christian, Nicholas & Stephen; and 1 great grandson, Nathaniel. Ken served in the US Army with an honorable discharge. He attended both U of M and Lawrence Technological University. Ken was an architectural draftsman by trade and always loved his work. He retired from Chrysler Motor Company after the last 12 years of his career. His hobbies included gardening, sailing, feeding and watching the birds. A devout Christian and founding member of his church, Ken was always thankful for his blessings and loved his family. A viewing and memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2108 at Divine Grace Lutheran Church, 3000 S. Lapeer Rd., Lake Orion, 48359. Viewing will begin at 9:30 am to be followed by the memorial service at 10:30 am. There will then be a graveside service and return to Divine Grace for a luncheon and visitation with the family. Memorials may be made to the family or to Divine Grace Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
