Kevin Lamont Breaux was born to proud parents Sonya Marie-Hope Garwold {Breaux} and Kevin Lamont Brown on December 12, 1975.
Kevin attended the Pontiac School District and graduated from Pontiac Northern High School. He then attended ITT Institute and earned several certifications of completion.
Kevin accepted Christ at a young age and recommitted himself to God in 2018, at our home church Overflow Tabernacle, under the leadership of Pastor Sherman Williams. Kevin met his wife when he was 14yrs old and they became the best of friends. Kevin lived life with a laugh. He believed if he could laugh, he could get through anything. Kevin loved repairing cars and built a business out of it. It was his passion, and from his passion, two Head Auto “The Mobile Mechanic” was born.
Music played a major role in his life and was his safe space. He had to have the best sounds, & they had to be loud. And anyone who knew Kevin he knew didn’t need a horn, his sounds were his horn.
Kevin was a truth seeker & loved sharing knowledge and current events with others.
Kevin was a very talented artist. He also loved playing pool, Mario Kart, bowling, and golf with his family, especially his son, Kaden. Kevin loved strongly, and through that love, he created a wonderful family. Although Kevin and LaToya didn’t have any natural children together, he made sure he made her a mother.
Kevin departed his earthly Elam on Friday, February 21, 2025, at McLaren Oakland with his loving wife and son by his side. Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Lenard James Jones; his cousin, Josef Richard Breaux; and his step-father, Chester Jones.
Kevin leaves to cherish his memory: his loving, devoted wife, LaToya Breaux; mother, Sonya Marie-Hope Garwold {Breaux}; father, Kevin Lamont Brown; grandparents, Joseph {Rabi} Breaux and Jackwellyn Breaux. His children, Kaden Alexander Breaux, Asia McCloud, and Justin McCloud; grandchildren, Jordan “Triple J” Stowers, Haizel Monet “Lil Lady” Bennet; siblings, Ralph Quentin (Ciara) Downey, Danielle Jones-Alexander, Keynote (Kori) Clabon, Martell Clabon, and Deon (Ashley) Clabon; uncles, Joseph “Butch” (Otok) Breaux, Jacques (Teresa) Breaux; and his mother-in-law (love), Josia M. Clabon.
Kevin also leaves a slew of cousins, his favorite cousin/son Seth Breaux, nieces and nephews, & close friends that became family. And special friends to him, Rhonda McCloud and Nathan “Big Red” Jenkins Jr.
