L. Thomas Berg

L. Thomas Berg; beloved husband of 66 years to Loretta; father of 10; grandfather of 23; and great grandfather of 13; passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Tom is survived by his wife, Loretta; children Jean (Sparky) Woodard, John (Beth) Berg, the late Christine “Kippy” (Matt) Kosorski, James (Sue) Berg, Mary (Hans) Kalohn, Lucy (Dick) Christie, Michael (Nancy) Berg, the late Julie Berg, Lisa (Kirk) Simpkins and Tim (Nicole) Berg. Tom attended St. Paul Catholic High School in Grosse Pointe. He received a JD Degree (Attorney) from Detroit College of Law and practiced law for over 25 years. Tom enjoyed winters in Florida, the Detroit Tigers, and mostly being surrounded by family. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 3-8pm with a Rosary Reading at 7pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 111 E. Flint Street, Lake Orion, MI 48362. Funeral Mass will be on September 1, 2018 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Road, Lake Orion, MI 48362.
