Lance R. Nixon

Lance R. Nixon; of Lake Orion; age 75; February 11, 2014. Lance is survived by his loving wife Linda of 52 years; loving daughters Lori (Robert) Hardt, Lisa Nixon Doane, and Lynette Nixon; special granddaughters Cassidy and Madison Doane; and dear sisters Kim (John) Roybal and Kerry (David) Borst. Mr. Nixon owned Country Color Paint & Wallpaper, and Economy Furniture Stripping. He was a member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Lake Orion Jaycees, and a Card Club member for more than 50 years. Lance enjoyed playing golf, doing yard work, and most of all hosting the annual Nixon Invitational Golf Tournament. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Orion United Methodist Church.
