DENIS, R. LARRY, of Lake Orion , entered eternal life March 12, 2009 at the age of 81.Dear husband of Barbara. Former husband of Margaret and pre-deceased by Helen. Dear father of Patrick (Susan) of Ind., Michael of Cal., David (Denise) of Clarkston, Gary (Janelle) of Lake Orion, Nanette of Oxford, Donald of Fla., and James Hugill of Lake Orion. Step-father of Kelly Buchanan of Metamora, Angela Allard of Orion Twp., and the late Jeffrey Buchanan.Loving Grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter. Brother of Raymond, Joseph, Victor, Delores Laurie, Claudette Doody, and the late Paul and Phillip.Mr. Denis was a Barber in Lake Orion for many years, a Coast Guard veteran of WW 2, and was a school bus driver in Lake Orion for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Life member of American Legion Post 233, where he served as Chaplin, and the Lake Orion Knights of Columbus.Funeral services Monday 12:30 pm. from St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Internment East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lake Orion Chapel, Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home (248-693-8336) after 3:00 Sunday, with suggested visiting hours of 3 to 5, and 7 to 9 pm. Rosary services 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
