Larry Allen Smith Sr.

SMITH, LARRY A. Sr.; 64; of Brown City; formerly of Lake Orion; went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2013. Larry was born May 11, 1949 to the late Albert and Stella (Deanie). Survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary (Jones); dear father of Jennifer, Christopher (Regina), and the late Larry Jr.; loving grandfather of Joel, and Eric Ridenour, Haley, Kayla and Christopher (CJ) Smith; brother of Arthur; uncle of Danielle and Tina; also leaves a host of aunts; uncles; and cousins. Larry was a graduate of Lake Orion Community High School and retired as Design Leader for General Motors. Larry attended the Lake Orion Church of God that his grandfather, Rev. Alfred (Darlene) Lowe pastored. He assisted in building the current church located on Clarkston Rd., and was a member of the Peck Assembly of God in Peck, MI. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Lake Orion Church of God, 760 W. Clarkston Road, Lake Orion. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester, MI.
