Laura Belle Childers

Laura Belle Childers, 84, of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Mrs. Childers was born in Franklin, North Carolina to the late Albert and Nellie Raby Hurst. She was a longtime member of the Grace Community Baptist formerly "Temple Baptist" in Lake Orion, Michigan and a current member of Rutherford County Baptist Church. Mrs. Childers was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clyde Reeves Childers. She is survived by her children, Patricia Leder of Pontiac, Michigan, Terry Childers of Strawberry Plains, TN, Kathy Qualls and Rose Place of Murfreesboro, TN, Dennis Childers of Lake Orion, Michigan; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, July 23, 20123 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home and Friday, July 26, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Community Baptist in Lake Orion, Michigan with Terry Childers and Dr. Charles McNeely officiating. Burial to follow in Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
