Leonard "Len" Sheldon

Len Sheldon passed into God’s eternal glory on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the age of 74. Len was born September 20, 1945 to parents Michael and Gertrude Sheldon in Detroit, Michigan. He married his “little red-haired girl” Lynne on October 12, 1968. He was Dad to Jennifer and Josh, Papa to Jeremy, Charlie, and Sam, and friend to countless.
Len graduated from Ferris State University with a Business degree and treasured the friendships he made during his 37 years in sales at the Budd Company.
Len enjoyed all the simple pleasures of life… a freshly washed car, boating with his grandchildren on Elk Lake, a beer around the grill with friends, a freshly baked apple pie on his birthday. Like the summer evening sun over his cherished Grand Traverse Bay, Len’s time with us has set, but his light lives on in the hearts of those who love him.
Len loved our Elk Rapids Library. Memorial contributions can be made to the Elk Rapids Library or First Presbyterian Church of Elk Rapids .
A memorial service will be held in Elk Rapids this summer.
