Letty Betty Martin

Letty Betty Martin died peacefully at home on December 19, 2020 in Lake Orion, MI at the age of 78 due to Parkinson’s disease.  She was born on June 25, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas to Rex and Anna Richardson.   She married William Martin in November of 1966.

Letty attended Dearborn High School and was a graduate of Western Michigan University. She was a teacher and a gifted quilter who was always making creative things.  Letty taught quilting to others and published an instructional book on machine applique quilting.  She loved to spend time with her husband and family while at their home on Lake Orion.

Letty is survived by her husband William; their children, Douglas (Holly) and Scott (Chelle) Martin; grandchildren, Noah, Joshua and Miranda Martin; grandchildren Allison and Emily Cole; brother Eric Richardson and multiple nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her parents Rex and Anna Richardson; and her brother Enoch (Nick) Richardson.  A private family service will be held.
