Lila "Juanita" Brandeberry

Lila "Juanita" Brandeberry; of Oxford; age 80; October 14, 2015. Juanita is the beloved mother of Steve (Chi Cooper) Brandeberry, Linda (John) Beggs, and Lisa (Don) Ottosen; and loving grandmother of Bobby and Richie. She is also survived by brothers and sisters in law, Don (Pat) Brandeberry and Judy (Ed) Ibbotsen; and several nieces and nephews. Juanita was raised in Montpelier, Ohio, but lived most of her adult life in Clinton Township and Utica before moving to Oxford to be closer to family. She retired from the Macomb County Health Department after over 20 years of service and spent her retirement years traveling, spending time with family and doting on her two grandsons. Juanita loved her family, the family dogs, feeding the birds and dark chocolate. She was fortunate to have developed many wonderful friendships within her church family in the last years of her life and enjoyed Red Hats and volunteering her time. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 10am at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 7pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion, Michigan. Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier, Ohio at a later date.
