Linda Diane Carrington

Linda Diane Carrington was born on September 2, 1948 to Anthony and Mary Whiting and was their 4 ^th child out of 7. She died peacefully on October 4, 2021 in Pontiac, Michigan. Linda went to school at St. Fred’s and Pontiac Central High School. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age. In 1965 she married James Carrington Sr. and from this union they had two beautiful children, James Jr. and Lisa Carrington. She was employed by General Motors for a short period of time and by Bloomfield Hills Nursing Home. Linda loved children and was very loyal to all her loved ones. She was the primary caregiver to Ashton, Cortney, Branden and Morgan. Although Linda had health challenges for many years  her tenacious spirit allowed her to do things which would be impossible for most with her health conditions. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Mary; daughter, Lisa Carrington and brother, Elbert Whiting. She leaves behind to cherish in her memory her Son, James (Mumba) Carrington Jr.; grandchildren, Courtney, Ashton, Amber, Morgan, Aydin and Aycen; great grandchildren, Brandon and Juliette; siblings,  Anthony (Minnie), Larry (Patricia), Harold (Lea), Marvin (Gwen) and Gloria (Benny Clay Jr.); closest friends Josephine and Shirley and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel.
