Linda Leavens

SIEGLINDE "LINDA" LEAVENS; of Lake Orion; 77; was born on March 15, 1936 in Grodig, Austria and passed away on January 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and parents Paula and Karl Edelbacher. She is survived by her sister Gudrun "Gudy" Halbhuber; three daughters Carol and Linda Leavens and Jean (Collin) Brunckhorst; nephew Robert (Erin) Halbhuber and their girls Aspen and Piper; grandchildren Angela Olds, Adam (Amy) Olds, Canyon Brunckhorst, Trevor (Anita) Brunckhorst and Candace Brunckhorst (Bryce) Gower; cousins Wendy, Ron and Fred Heller and Petie Davis; "adopted" grandchildren Lillian and Claire Davis; and great-grandchildren Alexis, Alivia and Allison Ruwart, Brody Olds, Trey Brunckhorst, and Brittany and Bentley Gower. Linda was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Ferndale Post, where she was a very active member holding numerous offices. She transferred to the Lake Orion Post 233 after moving to Lake Orion. Linda retired from GM Pontiac Truck and Bus, and enjoyed letter writing, sunbathing and visiting with friends and family. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
