Loretta Ann Gardner

Loretta Ann Gardner; of Oxford; age 83; passed away January 16, 2021.  Loretta is the beloved wife of the late John A. Gardner for 55 years; loving mother of Brenda (Larry) Shafer, Linda McDonald, Kimberly (Todd) Sutherland, John Gardner, Cathy (Tim) Fox, the late John Wiley and special daughters Stacy and Corinne; loving grandmother of 12; great grandmother of 9; and great great grandmother of 2.  She is the dear sister of Patricia, Mary, Bob and the late Betty and Charlie.  Loretta was a devoted wife and mother whose life focus was caring for her family.  She was a member of the Gingellville Community Church and dearly loved her church family.  She went on mission trips with her church to Peru, Japan and California.  Loretta enjoyed spending time doing crafts, painting, ceramics, puzzles and any kind of games.  She especially loved spending time doing these activities with her children and grandchildren while they were growing up.  She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.  The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4-7pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  Masks will be required.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Laurus Hospice or the Gingellville Community Church.  A private family funeral service will be held.
