Loretta Marie Whittaker

Loretta Marie Whittaker; of Clarkston; age 79; passed away on October 21, 2020.  Loretta is the loving mother of Sherry (Rick) Hensley, the late Vicky Carrillo, the late Mary Groves and Christine (Tony) Groves; loving grandmother of Kelly, Derek, Zak, Brandon, Tony and Rocky; great grandmother of Marissa, Lyndsey, Jake, Evan, Rocko and Landon; great great grandmother of Maurxavier; and the beloved sister of Lois, the late Donnie, Rick, the late Nadine, Bill, the late Joan, June, the late David, and the late Robert. She was also the former wife of the late Matthew Groves and James Whittaker. Loretta's family was the most important thing in her life, she loved them all.  She was a nurturing caretaker who loved to cook and made sure that everyone was well fed when they came to her house.  She enjoyed flowers and had a passion for gardening.  Singing with the family and working on puzzles brought her joy also.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Masks will be required for those attending and social distancing is suggested.  Interment will be held at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston.
