Louis Anthony Hicks, age 69 of Pontiac; passed away on February 4, 2022

Louis Anthony Hicks was born October 31, 1952 to the late Gwendolyn G. Hicks, Chicago, IL and Walter L Hicks, Lonoke, Arkansas.  Louis was educated through the Chicago public school system and he attended Kennedy King College.  At the age of 18 Louis joined the Marines and served in the Vietnam War as a cook for 2 years.  Upon his discharge he was employed with Chicago Steel mill until he moved to Pontiac, Michigan.  Louis raised his family in Michigan and eventually retired from Chrysler in 2016.

Proceeding him in death are his maternal grandparents; Bertha and Thomas Williams from Houma, Louisiana, his paternal grandparents; Pearl L Waller-Hicks and Alpha Hicks from Lonoke, Arkansas and a brother Michael H. Hicks of Chicago.

Louis is survived by his children; Stacie Caldwell (Eric) and Adeline Gonzales (James), Tarance Lang, Louis Hicks Jr., Lawrence Hicks, Lloyd Hicks, and Lionel Hicks, two sisters; Jacquelyn Hicks and Sharon Hicks-Bartlett (David) and a brother Walter Hicks Jr.  He also leaves 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who were near to his heart.
