Magdalena Maggie Martinez

Magdalena Maggie Martinez; November 3, 1956 - February 23, 2018; born in Pontiac, Michigan to Ivan & Catalina Martinez. Magdalena is survived by her husband Alberto Luis Ramos. Magdalena was the first female Puerto Rican Pontiac Police Officer, D.A.R.E., F.T.O., and retired from the Pontiac Police Detective Bureau. During her service, she received numerous awards and honors. Magdalena is a loving mother of two children, daughter Jocelin (Daniel) Cárdenas and son Angel Luis Colón Martinez; five grandchildren; brother William (Minerva); nieces; nephews; and a host of special people that touched her life in many ways. Magdalena is preceded in death by her mother Catalina; brother Ivan; and sister Haydee. The Ramos/Martinez Family extends our sincere thanks to all of the friends and family that gave much love and support during this time. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 2-9pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac. Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11am at the Spanish Pentecostal Church, 239 E. Pike Street, Pontiac. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
