Manuel Ramon Gutierrez

Manuel Gutierrez, age 55, of Pontiac, passed away on December 4th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Manuel loved his family more than anything. He was a determined man, with strong convictions, especially when it came to family. If he set his mind on something, he was going to do it, and nothing could change that. He loved fiercely and with passion. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his entire world. Manuel was also a free spirit. He was kind and funny, always finding a way to lift other’s spirits. He joked that when he passed on, he was going to become a sea turtle like the one in Finding Nemo. He would catch some waves and spend time at his favorite place, the beach. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Manuel will miss him greatly.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Dawn Gutierrez; son, Antonio (Stacey) Gutierrez; five beloved grandchildren, Kaden Fritz, Kaydence Gross, and Antonio, Alycialynn, and Alexandria Gutierrez; siblings, Gloria (Ernie) Herrera, Antonio Gutierrez, John (Elizabeth) Gutierrez, and Joseph (Patricia) Gutierrez; and mother, Hortencia Gutierrez and other loving family and friends. Manuel was preceded in death by his son, Alexander Gutierrez and father, Antonio Gutierrez.


The family will receive loved ones for a visitation on Thursday, December 11th from 4-8 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 12th at Spark-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel- 46 Williams St Pontiac, MI 48341. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held from 2:30-5:30 at the Loyal Order of Moose Pontiac 182- 1047 Cesar E Chavez Ave Pontiac, MI 48340. Flowers can be sent to the funeral home for display.
