She was best most known as Gram or Grammy to her grandchildren Pam Bellairs of Oxford, Aimee (Eric) Hurtado of Oxford, Lori (Ryan) Janowiec, Dr. Karrie (Josh) Kiskaddon, Jamie (Michael) Lenig, and her great grandchildren Zach and Meg Bellairs, Alyssa, Tobey, and Dustin Hurtado, and Brady, Logan, and Parker Kiskaddon Margaret fondly known as Kiddie led a wonderful and full life. She graduated in the first graduating class of Hofstra University NY in 1939 and was a professional Girl Scout and teacher. Margaret loved her years as a camp counselor, and teacher. In her spare time she was a seamstress and quilter who loved baking for family and friends. The family always knew who to call when they needed a planner as she loved celebrations and holidays and all the cooking involved with them. She was always busy and on the move doing things her way with a little quote or saying to keep you laughing. After the death of her husband she became a Secular Franciscan spreading simple kindness where she could and moved to Oxford from NY for her last 16 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's parish in Lake Orion and was very close to God living her faith every day. Funeral mass will be on Tues Nov. 26 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's, Lake Orion. A memorial is planned for a later date. The family is requesting in place of flowers that any donations be made to the Dominican Sisters of Peace, 775 W. Drahner Rd, Oxford, MI where Margaret loved to attend mass every Sunday.
