Margaret Stamps

Margaret Stamps, age 86, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025.

Margaret leaves behind to cherish in her memory her beloved children, Al Rhodes, Gerald Rhodes, Patricia Rhodes, and Tracy Rhodes; her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Nell Pitts, Marilyn McDonald, Abram “Bobby” (Joyce) Powell, and Trosie (Ray) Alexander; Aunt Mary Ann (Leonard) Briscoe and Uncle Curtis (Marie) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett James & Pearl Smith and Robie May Fowler; siblings, James “Sonny” Smith and James Campbell Jr.; and great granddaughter, McKenzie Lisa Standfield.

Margaret loved cooking and planning parties for her family. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. Margaret was such an outgoing person that her ability to make a friend out of anyone was something to admire. Her church family was very important to her and she enjoyed going to bible study. Margaret will be deeply missed by all who cherished and loved her.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Lifepoint Christian Church, 501 Scott Lake Road, Waterford, MI 48328. Interment will be at Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
