Maria L. Contreras, of Pontiac; age 56; passed away November 15, 2008; beloved wife of Miguel for 38 years; loving mother of Maggy (Fiancé Ron) Soliz, Norma (Ernie) Rivera, Alex (Rose) Soliz, Miguel (Heidi) Contreras, Amelia (Emiliano) Gomez and Lilly (Fiancé Kelly) Contreras; and cherished Gwennie of Justin, Miguel III, Bella, Ariana, Miriah, Erikka, Gabe, Josh, Alyssia, Alex Jr., Angel, Elena, Mateo, Milo, Marcos, Ayaianna, Ezkiel and Ronald. Maria is the daughter of Hortenca and the late Eugene Soliz; sister of Eli, Lena, Carlos, Ray, Rene, Jesse and Juan; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered for being a great grandma. Maria was a member of the Mexican Mutualista Club and worked at Bortz Nursing Center in Orion Township for 25 years.
