Son of Jose and Manuela Lucio of San Benito, TX; beloved husband of Aurora Lucio for 41 years; loving father of Mario Lucio of Pontiac, MI, Rolando " Nano" (Trina) Lucio of Grand Blanc, MI, Rita Belinda( Michael) Newman of Ooltewah, TN, Leticia "Lolly" Lucio of Fort Collins, CO and loving father-figure to Christina Ramirez Reid; devoted brother of Juana (Antonio) Banuelos of Wolfforth, TX, Pedro( Frances) Lucio of San Benito, TX, Francisco Lucio of Waterford, MI, Juanita ( Richard) Lucio-Campos of Grand Rapids, MI, Jeronimo Lucio of San Benito, TX, Maria (Martin) Garcia of Shelbyville, MI, Ramona (David) Short of Hartford, MI, Concepcion Lucio of San Benito, TX, Petra Price of Houston, TX, Pablo Lucio of Pontiac, MI and Guadalupe Lucio of Corpus Christi, TX; adoring grandfather to Sarah Lucio, Tiffany Stewart, Savanah Jackson, Joshua Lucio, Emma Newman, Andrew Newman, Jordan Lucio, Jenna Lucio and Maria Newman. Mr. Lucio retired after 35 years of service with General Motors and was a member of the Catholic Church community of Pontiac, MI, including St. Vincent de Paul and St. Michael Parishes. Mariano was a member of the Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana for over 21 years and gave his dedication and unwavering support as an active citizen in the City of Pontiac, namely the Latino population in the area. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home on Monday 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rosary service 7:30 p m. on Tuesday. Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
