Marjorie L. Bone

July 4, 1923 — January 28, 2008

Bone, Marjorie L.; of Rochester Hills, formerly of Sylvan Lake; died January 28, 2008; age 84; for 57 years beloved wife of the late Howard L. Bone; loving mother of David (Joan) of Kingman, AZ and Lonnie of Groveland Township; sister to Wayne (Barbara) Sharpley, Wanda (Thomas) Overy,Peggy (Steve) Kives and the late Kate L. Metzger; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 30 nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bone was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, loved to volunteer and was very active in all aspects of the First United Methodist Church of Pontiac. For more than 30 years, she sang in the Church Choir, acted as a Sunday school teacher and served as a youth director. An avid walker, Mrs. Bone completed the Mackinaw Bridge Walk for the past 27 years. A Memorial celebration of Marjorie's life will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Pontiac with Pastor Thomas Taylor officiating. Interment to follow at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi. The Family will receive friends at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Thursday, 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be held Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home, 46 Williams St. Pontiac.
