Waite, Marjorie C. August 4, 2011 age 92 of Oakland Township. Beloved wife of the late A.B. Waite. Dear mother of Ross(Sharon) Waite and Dennis(Pamala) Waite. Grandmother of 5 and Great-grandmother of 5. Sister of Mary Graves. She was the daughter of the late Russell Porritt and Florence Howarth Porritt. Mrs. Waite worked as an Assistant Manager at Community National Bank. Marjorie and her family were founding members of the Howarth United Methodist Church. She was raised on the Porritt Farm known then as Bonnie Meadows, which today is Country Creek. She was a Lifetime Member of the Order of the Eastern Star. The one room Schoolhouse known as the Howarth School and the Porritt Barn are now part of Friendship Park. Funeral service 10:30 Monday at the Howarth United Methodist Church (550 E. Silverbell Orion 48360) Family will receive friends Sunday 2-5 & 6-8 pm at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home(248 693 8336). Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
