Mark William Autenrieth, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was lovingly embraced by his devoted wife, Mary Kay, in his final moments.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Eldene, his Uncle Marvin, and his dear sister Kimberly Guralczyk and her husband Al. He was a cherished uncle to Kristen Marie and a beloved great-uncle to Bradyn Alan. Mark is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of good friends who will miss him dearly.
A true car enthusiast like his father, Mark enjoyed countless rides, car shows, and Dream Cruises in his prized 1973 March 1 Mustang. He also had a passion for motorcycles, riding extensively on his Harley Davidson with Mary Kay alongside on her own Harley.
Mark’s love for travel led him and Mary Kay on numerous adventures, including a memorable cruise where they exchanged vows barefoot on a picturesque St. Thomas beach.
Professionally, Mark worked for LaSalle Machine and Tool Company and Kuka Welding Systems and Robotics Corporation, where he earned the respect and admiration of many friends and coworkers.
In accordance with Mark’s wishes, a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor his memory are encouraged to make donations to the Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan, St. Croix Hospice, or an animal shelter or rescue of their choice in his name.
