Mark Thiede

Mark Allan Thiede; passed away peacefully at home in Lake Orion Michigan on Thursday June 18, 2020, surrounded by friends and family. He was 63 years old, born on February 2, 1957 in Dearborn Michigan. He was a graduate of Edsel Ford High School Class of 1975. He went on to CMU and was a history major. Mark was happily married to Kim Jewell in 1988 and had 2 children soon after. Mark worked in the moving industry for 32 years. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, his custom log home and golf. Mark lived life to the fullest and his greatest joy and accomplishments are his children and grandchildren. Very rare in the world today do you find a man that had friends from his earliest days. His ability to make everyone feel welcome and belonged was uncanny. He is survived by his wife Kim (Jewell); son Elliott; daughter and son-in-law Lindsey and Michael Tuzik; and their four children Conner 10, Cameron 7, Claire 5 and Cooper 3. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 5-8pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. Funeral Service will take place graveside on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 11am at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Oxford.
