Mary Blaszczyk

Blaszczyk, Mary Irene; age 91; passed away September 12, 2015. She was born in Proctor, Vermont on June 2, 1924 and was the youngest sister to six brothers. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley; the two enjoyed their lakefront home in Lake Orion, traveling, and spending time with their large, extended family. A long-time active member of St. Joseph Church in Lake Orion, Mary loved working alongside her friends at the church, participating in parish activities, and enjoyed her Saturday evening dinners with her church friends. Mary was a member of the American Legion auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus. She was the loving mother of Case, Marlene (Hank Janicki), Gregory (Madalon), Marsha (Tom) Kumpuris, Edward (Kelli) and Martin. Mary was also the proud grandmother of Alexandria (Chris) Franz, Tiffany, Thaddeus (Katie), Amanda (Marc) Blitz, Michelle Cook, Trisha, Ryan Cook and the late Blake Feldman and great-grandmother to Emma and Addison Franz and Curtis Blaszczyk. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends and all who knew her or were touched by her kindness and generosity. She was the best Mom, Grandma and Granny ever! Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16th from 1:00-4:00PM and from 6:00-9:00PM at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME on Flint Street in Lake Orion. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion with visitation at 10:00AM and Mass at 10:30AM. A private burial service will be held.
