Mary Ellen Busch

Mary Ellen Busch; Passed away January 2, 2018 at 91 years of age.  Mary Ellen is the beloved wife of the late Donald A. Busch; loving mother of Monica (James) Sloan, Rita (Mike) Bennett, the late Julie Swantick and the late Jeffrey Busch; loving grandmother of Katie (Chris) June, Brandon Bennett, Maureen (Ronny) Bucci, Mark (Lyndsay) Sloan, Natalie (Allen) Brown, Michelle (Ryan) Turk, Steven (Lauren) Sloan and Emily Sloan; and dear great grandmother of Morgan, Alexandra, Carson, Lilliana,  Francesca, Mason, Dominick, Olivia, Madelyn, Caroline, Spencer, Caiden, Mallory, Brody, Ainsley, Cameron, Jameson and Callum.  She is also the sister of Louise Darin, Elaine Graham, Harold Snider, Donald Snider, the late Clare Snider, the late Vern Snider, the late Jane Snider; and mother in law of Dan Swantick.  Mary Ellen retired after 17 years at Cerveny Middle School.  She was an active Stephen Minister and volunteer at the Detroit Historical Society and Mt. Carmel/Grace Hospital.  She was also an active summer parishioner at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, Michigan.  Mary Ellen’s family would like to share a special Thank You to all the staff at the Clausen Manor of Lourdes Nursing Home.  Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January, 5, 2017 at 11am at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until the time of service at church.  Memorials may be made to the Down Syndrome Guild of Michigan.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
