Mary Delia Trevino; age 82; of Pontiac, Michigan; passed away on April 27, 2026. She was born on July 6, 1943 to the late Epifanio Gomez Sr. and Guadalupe Cassillias Gomez. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ramon G. Trevino Sr; her son, Ramon Trevino Jr.; and her sisters, Evangelina Anthes and Erminia E. Davis. Mary is survived by her daughters, Raquel (Terence) Trevino Stephan and Rosana Trevino Burnette; her grandchildren, Matthew Herzog, Terence A. Stephan Jr., Antonio (Courtney) R. Stephan, and Jaden Rose Burnette; her great-grandchildren, Teagan Herzog, Leiland Stephan and Ezekiel Moore; and many many nieces, nephews & cousins all across the US.
Mary worked for the Pontiac School District at W.H.R.C. where she was a social worker and helped many many families during her career. She retired at age 62 after working part-time at Sam's Club of Waterford and she never failed to make life long friends along the way.
Mary was a great cook making her "Viejo" fresh tortillas daily. Some of her specialties included Spanish rice, banana bread, beef cabbage soup, mole, frijoles borrachas & banana pudding. She also enjoyed gardening, word search and finding new restaurants.
Mary loved to tease and joke with each and every person she came in contact with. She would say "Life is too short, make someone laugh and put a smile on their face."
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 3:00 - 7:00 pm with rosary prayers to be said at 6:00 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Damien of Molokai Parish - St. Vincent de Paul Church, 46408 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac. Burial will follow mass at Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where Mary will be laid to rest and joined together again with her loving husband.
