Mary Lee Woodward

Mary Lee Woodward; of Lake Orion/Oxford; was called to be with the Lord on March 4, 2017. Mary Lee was born on April 5, 1948 and is the former wife and dear friend of Thomas Kretz Sr. of Clarkston. Mary Lee grew up in Lake Orion, Michigan. She was employed by Sea Ray Boats of Oxford for 71/2 years before moving on to Fisher Body in Pontiac and later transferring to General Motors Assembly in Lake Orion where she retired after 30 years of service. She belonged to UAW local 5960. Mary Lee’s Mantra: “God has always provided for me, he always has, he always will.” She has always been very spiritual and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Lake Orion.  Mary Lee is preceded in death by her father Kenneth R. Woodward. She leaves behind her mother Katherine D. Woodward; son, Benjamin (Girdy) Drew; daughter Tracy Kretz (Jess Weir); brothers, Kenneth H. (Sharon) Woodward, James (Dorothy) Woodward, Robert (Michelle) Woodward; sisters, Debria (Lee) Meadows, Diane (Ted) Behrick; one granddaughter, April Drew; and 3 great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her precious Shih Tzu, Mr. Bojangles and her lifelong best friend Gloria Hallock Andres.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-9pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
