Matthew Beattie

BEATTIE, MATTHEW; age 55; of Pontiac, formerly of Lake Orion; died unexpectedly at home on May 10, 2013. He was the son of Deanna Beattie; brother of Richard Beattie, Darrin (Stephanie) Beattie, Dion Beattie; uncle to Ashley, Alicia, Jordan and Elijah, great uncle to Noah and Allie; step-son to Julie Beattie, step-brother to Jessica Butler; and longtime best friend of Duane Christensen. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Beattie; and brother, Eric Beattie; and his beloved grandparents. Matt graduated from Lake Orion High School in 1976. Before his retirement for health reasons, Matt had worked for Numerical Machining Company and previously had spent many years in the food service industry. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Renaissance Unity, 11200 E. 11 Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48089 with a lunch reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Michigan Humane Society or Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency are encouraged.
