Melvin L. Lambert; of Lake Orion; passed away January 29, 2012 at the age of 88. Melvin is the beloved husband of Ruth of 67 years; and the loving father of Michael, Carol Reynolds, Dennis (Heather), Alice (Greg) Lieb, and the late John. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard and Alvin; and sister Maysel. Melvin was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was retired from the Lake Orion Schools, and was a lifetime member of the Lake Orion Masonic Lodge #46, Eastern Star Orion Fellowship #340, and Oxford American Legion Post #108. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion with Pastor Tom Sayers officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with Masonic and Easter Star services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Reflections may be shared with the family by visiting www.sparksgriffin.com.
