Michael D. Iveson

Michael D. Iveson, July 18, 1954-October 13, 2015 Michael D. Iveson died in his home Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from sudden heart failure. Michael was born July 18, 1954 in Detroit, MI and was a Senior Controls Engineer at HTI Cybernetics. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, John and Johanna, and his brother James. Michael is survived by his wife of 24 years, Alexis (Salisz), and his daughter Sarah Iveson (Joel Ladouceur) who are expecting their first child in November. He is also survived by two brothers, one sister, two nieces, one nephew and several great nieces and nephews. Michael loved the outdoors, his woods in Lake Orion and his beach on Lake Huron. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and Red Wings fan. He celebrated 28 ½ years clean and sober. He shared this lifestyle with his wife, to whom he was devoted. Visitation will be at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Oakland University Alumni Scholarship Program.
