Minnie Elaine Shields

Minnie Elaine Shields; age 94; of Jackson, Michigan; formerly of Lake Orion; February 10, 2016. She was born on August 4, 1921 in Denton, Arkansas to William Forrest and Bertha Mae Reynolds. She was the wife of the late Lynwood; dear mother of Barbara of Jackson and Donald (Mary Jane) of Beaverton, Oregon. Elaine is survived by three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Gerald (Cheryl) Reynolds of Lapeer; sisters Shirley (Frank) Schlereth of Curtis and Joyce (Steve) Lewis of Massachusetts; and sister-in-law Phyllis Shields of Clare. She was preceded in death by brothers Homer, William, JT and John; sister Geralene Wheeler; sister-in-law Pauline; brother-in-law Leonard Wheeler; and son-in-law Jan Hayner. Mrs. Shields retired as the Assistant Librarian from the Lake Orion Public Library after serving from 1963 to 1980. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11am at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7pm.
