Morley Burns Dvm

Morley N. Burns DVM; formerly of Grosse Ile and Dearborn; age 85; passed away June 11, 2018. Morley is survived by his beloved wife Betty of 61 years; children, Morley “Chip” (Edith) Burns Jr. and Susan (Frits Hoendervanger) Burns; and grandchildren, Marissa Burns and Morley (Samantha) Burns III.  He is also survived by his brother Norman (Cathy) Burns; and many nieces and nephews.  For many years, Morley owned and operated Burns Animal Hospital in Dearborn.  Morley was also a longtime Rotarian and a proud Spartan.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife Betty, sailing, bird watching, hunting and simply spending time outdoors, on the water or in the woods.  Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 6pm at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Pontiac.  The family will receive friends at the church from 5pm until the service.  Immediately following the service, there will be a reception in the church auditorium.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated. www.sparksgriffin.com
