Morris W. Cucksey

Morris W. "Red" Cucksey; September 3, 2012; age 88; of Lake Orion. Morris is the beloved husband of Rosa Lee for 70 years; loving father of Jon (Christine) of Harrison Twp., Michigan, Chris (Susan) of Novi, and the late Suzy; dear grandfather of nine and great grandfather of 12. He was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Hoyes. Morris retired in 1985 from the City of Pontiac after 40 years of service. He was WWII Navy Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and playing golf. Morris never believed in a "throw away" society and saved everything he came across. To everyone that knew him will remember him as the original "Picker." Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery.
