Nancy Libke Bertels

Nancy Libke Bertels passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 87.  She was predeceased by her parents, Irma and Carroll Libke; and her husband, George John Bertels, Jr.  She is survived by her children, Dianne (Jeremy) Salesin and George (Suzann) Bertels III; along with her grandchildren, Kate, Alex, Andrew, and Megan; and her brothers, Donald and Paul Libke.

Nancy was born in Detroit, MI and was a graduate of Mackenzie High School and Siena Heights College.  She worked for many years as a claims specialist at Michigan Hospital Association Insurance Co. and volunteered at Henry Ford Medical Center.

Her family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 11am-1pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion, MI.  A funeral service will be held at 1pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Cottage Hospital, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI.
