Norbert J.Esnault, (Jim Boy)
Made his transition on April 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born in New Orleans, La on Feb. 26, 1930. Parents Amelia Neal Esnault and Norbert James Esnault. His youth was spent in Alexandria, La. He spent many hours with his grandfather and other elders, whom he continued to talk about. Jim loved to fish and spent time on his boat catching fish for years. He served in the US Army May 22, 1951 until May 8 1953. He attended Signal School.
Survived by his wife Betty (Johnson) Esnault of 53 years. Sister-in-law, Dorothy Bell. Father of 4: Johnnie (Dave) Washington Jr., Berdell Johnson, Norbert Allen Esnault, James Esnault. Grandfather of 7: Norbert (Latanya) Washington, B.A. (Irvin) Golston. Victoria Esnault, Alexandria Swift, Neil Esnault, Langston Johnson, Dennis Swift. Great grandfather of 5. Great Great grandfather of 6.
Jim worked at Dostal Foundry in Pontiac until it closed. He owned and operated Jim’s Electric Sewer Cleaning and owned and managed rental properties in the City of Pontiac. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the following 501 C3 or any other organizations that you may wish. (Pearls of Hope Foundation Scholarship or St. Vincent de Paul Society). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2018, 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral vigil service at 6p.m. at Sparks- Griffin Funeral Home, 46 Williams St. Pontiac, Mi. Funeral Mass will be held at St.Damien Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church ,Friday May 4, 2018, viewing 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
