Otha B. Paul, of Pontiac; August 24, 2010; age 66; born June 23, 1944 in Tylertown, MS. Daughter of the late Edgar Bridges and Lucy Whiters; wife of the late Allen Paul; mother of Lester "Tyree" Bridges (Lindsey), Terri Taylor (Ricardo), Sharon Marshall (Charles), Henry "DeShawn" Jackson and Shannon "Jean" Jackson (Kenneth); grandmother of Tyra Long, Terrica Taylor, Ricardo Taylor Jr., Peiton Marshall, Bianca Harris, Daishaune and Raijon Fair, DeShawn and Noah Jackson, Aundray, LaKecia, JaWauna and A'Yanna Jackson; great grandmother of four; and sister of the late Dorothy Everette (Vernell), Jessie Butler (Alyne), the late Ezill Butler (Tressiemae) and Garfield Bridges. Otha enjoyed many years singing Quartet Gospel as the lead singer of the Angeleers and the New Pontiac Spirituals. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 351 Prospect St., Pontiac. Pastor Derrick McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
