OBITUARY

“May My Works Speak For Me”

Pastor Carolyn G. Boykins passed away in God’s Arms on August 24, 2016 at the age of 78. Born on May 7, 1938 to parents of Adam and Johnnie Polk, in Brownsville, Tennessee. She grew up in Pontiac and attended the Pontiac Public School District. Pastor Boykins was preceded in death by her husband Andrew H. Boykins , sister Barbra Jean Polk, Milva Polk, and brother Ernest Polk who expired four days after her death. Carolyn have two (2) living Brothers: Larry (Bae) Polk, and Earl Polk (Karen). She was the Mother of seven (7) children: Tonia R. Harris of Pontiac, Barbara J. Harris-Friend (Anthony) of Southfield, her son Lynn ( Harris ) Cummings (Sabrina) of Dearborn, Nikita L. Alomia (Late Ign ac io Alomia) of Aurora, Colorado, and Chewanna G. Harvey (Rasean) of Pontiac. Mother Boykins had two (2) children who preceded her in death: Cynthia M. Harris-Schultz, and Carleen G. James both of Pontiac, Michigan. Pastor Carolyn cherished thirteen (13) Grand Children: Detrice Schultz, Chelita Schultz, Tiffany White, Ashley White, Tariq Z. Cummings, Yushua A. Cummings, Jannah A. Cummings, Alicia Alomia, Samika James, Willie Copeland Jr., Lavonta Copeland, Christian Copeland, Matthew Copeland, and Eleven (11) Great Grand Children: Trinity Cummings, Jowel Cummings, Summer Cummings, Tariq Z. Cummings Jr., Dejanee Schultz, Rachel Chapman, Anthony May, A’z aria May, Diamond Schultz, Jayce Copeland, Jamire James, Seven (7) Nephews: Michael Johnson, Dwayne Polk, Adam Polk (Monica), Terrence Johnson, Nathan Polk, Ernest Cohen, Jermaine Cohen Nieces: Latreasa Moore, (Dwight), Yisha Polk, Constance Polk, Carrie Travis. Three (3) step – sons; Lewis T. Douglas, Larry Douglas, and Leon Douglas

Special Loving Cousin Christine Bruce of Chicago, and Majorie Polk (Sister-In-Law) who has be an unbreakable Godly Spirit that is calm and peaceful to all people.

Carolyn accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1972. During 1984 she was called into the ministry under the leadership of Bishop Willie L. Clark of Flint, Michigan. She purchased and established her first church in Pontiac, Michigan which was named “Church Of Jesus Our Lord.”   Carolyn pastored for five (5) years until she move to the City of Detroit, Michigan where she resided for sixteen (16) years. Pastor Boykins established the Higher Dimension Full Gospel Deliverance Temple. On October 31, 2004, God reveled for her to return home to Pontiac, Michigan. Mother Boykins open the doors to the Pontiac community with the Bride Of Christ Temple Church where she was the Leading Pastor.

Pastor Carolyn Boykins had received an Honorary Doctorate from the Trinity Theology School of Tampa, Florida. She believed in the Trinity and that Jesus is Lord. Therefore, Pastor Boykins had believed in living Holy, and she believed that God called us to be equal in the body of Christ.

Although, Carolyn loved reading Bible scriptures, she had a very strong faith in (Joel 2:28,29) “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and/or young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.”

In Closing, Pastor Carolyn Boykins embraced the Bible verse (Galatians 3:28) “ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in christ Jesus.”
