Pauline Castillo

Pauline (Vasquez) Castillo of Pontiac, Michigan, passed away at the age of 82 on October 23, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Pauline leaves behind her husband Fidel Castillo of 62 years; children Christine (Patrick) Lewis, Rose (Eric) Carpenter, Daughter-in-law Danna Castillo, Patrick (Diana) Castillo, Ricky (Kacey) Castillo, Rueben (Brittany) Castillo, Michelle (Alonso) Muñoz. 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Theresa Alvarado, Gavino (Olga) Vasquez, Ponciano (Maria) Vasquez, Luis (Theresa) Vasquez, Matilda (Bobby Joe Turchin) Jimenez, many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Processed in death by her parents; Luis and Francisca Vasquez, son; Steven Castillo, siblings; George Vasquez, Eulalio Vasquez and Louis Vasquez. In-laws; Nellie Vasquez, Fransisca Vasquez, Juanita Vasquez, Juanita (Janie) Vasquez, Joseph Alvarado.

She had a presence that filled every room with her love and kindness. Her faith in the lord was very strong and her love was undeniable. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching her family play sports. She love to dance, go camping, watch movies, fishing, treasure shopping, traveling and being around family was most important to her. Fidel and Pauline were leaders of the Marriage Encounter for 10 years. She was part of the Comunidad Unidos en Cristo/Charismatic Renewal for 50 years. She was a member at St. Damien of Molokai/St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish. Were she volunteered in many programs including the Women’s Auxiliary Group.

Pauline was very loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 3:00 - 7:00 with rosary prayers to be said at 6:00 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Damien of Molokai Parish - St. Vincent de Paul Church. Following mass burial will take place at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
