On October 3, 2020, Pauline Myrick, at the age of 99 went to see the King at her residence. She heard a voice from heaven saying, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 KJV
Pauline Myrick was born on March 6, 1921 to the late Joseph W. and Edith (Ross) Atkins. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Pauline was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful servant and a Mother of the Church. She was raised in Rochester, Michigan, she later moved her family to Detroit, Michigan. In 2005 she relocated her family to Pontiac, to be closer to her siblings.
Pauline loved being in her home cooking and entertaining with her family. She enjoyed having family gatherings and her favorite dish to cook was Chicken and Waffles. Pauline will be greatly missed.
Mother Pauline Myrick leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: special niece, Valerie Rickman; great niece, Carla ( Lance) White; special nephews, Dwight A and Dwayne W. Carroll Sr., Everette Seay, and Raymond Seay; two great nephews, Ronald Jackson and Dwayne W. Carroll, Jr.; and 4 generations of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Mother Pauline Myrick was preceded in death by her husbands, Milton Griffin and Cornelius Myrick; children, Lawrence and Calvin Griffin; parents, Joseph W. and Edith (Ross) Atkins; siblings, Bernice Carroll, Lucille Edward (Seay), Robert L and James W. Atkins; niece, Janice Shells (Jackson).
All of us love you so much, we are missing you already. We will miss you making a fuss and we know that you love all of us. Never a good bye you will always be close to our hearts, until we see each other again! I will trust God because you are in his hands.

Visitation: Friday, October 9, 2020 10:00 AM– 11:00 AM at Spark-Griffin Funeral Home Pontiac Chapel. Social distancing is encouraged, masks will be required and groups of 10 will be permitted at a time.
