Peggy Ann Blanchard

Blanchard, Peggy Ann July 27, 2011 Age 79. Born August 17, 1931 in Goodison, MI to John Melvin and Margaret M. (Shippey) Blanchard. She was the proud sister of Harold(Judi) Blanchard Of Ortonville, Richard(Joan) Blanchard of Oxford and Carl(Sue) Blanchard of Junction City, Ohio. Also survived by 17 nieces and nephews and 36 great-nieces and nephews. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Rochester, attended school in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School in 1952. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Rochester where she enjoyed being a member of the choir, and served as a volunteer at many church functions over 60 years. She had worked for a small factory in Rochester as an assembler. For enjoyment Peggy embroidered and won several awards for this. She also loved bowling and was involved in several leagues over the years. Peggy loved people, meeting new friends, keeping in touch with old friends and loved being around her family, especially those great family card games. Funeral service 8 pm, Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday 5-8pm.
