Prince Ollie Parker; age 79; Passed away on December 22, 2020. Prince O. Parker was born May 29, 1941 to Jordan and Ollie Mae Cannon. She was the 4
th
child of 12 children. She was born in Liberty, Mississippi.
Prince attended Bates School in Liberty, Mississippi where she graduated. She married John Davis in which 3 children were born to this union. After moving to Gary Indiana the youngest of the 3 children was born.
Prince was diagnosed with diabetes early in her adulthood that limited her working, but her love for family and seniors remained. She spent a lot of time caring for the elderly and raising and teaching children. Prince had a good heart—always putting others before herself.
She married John Parker in 1980. For medical reasons she moved to Pontiac, Michigan in 2017.
Prince is preceded in death by parents Jordan and Ollie Cannon; daughter Mamie Harrison; daughter in law Detra Davis; son Jordan; husband John Parker; sisters Ida Mae Stalling, Emma Patton, Helen Boyking, Sadie Hood; brothers Jordan Cannon, George Cannon, and Ivory Cannon.
A public visitation will be held for Prince on January 5, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home Pontiac Chapel with a funeral service officiated by Minister Yvonne Foreman Cannon to follow at 12:00 p.m. Social distancing is strongly encouraged, masks are required. Burial to follow at Perry Mount Cemetery, Pontiac Michigan.
