Rachel Ann Hollens; age 49; of Roscommon, born January 3, 1977; passed away April 19, 2026.
Rachel will be missed by her parents, Paula Hollens and Jerel (Marlou) Hollens; brothers Josh (Courtney), and Jacob; and sister Sarah (Rich). She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews Logan, Hudson, Brooklyn, Parker, Everett and Kadence. Rachel is preceded in death by her grandparents, Stephen and Neoma Kozak, Horace “Scotty” and Rhuie Hollens.
Rachel was a light in this world. Her smile could warm a room and her laughter brought joy to everyone lucky enough to know her. From the very beginning, she faced challenges that would have been overwhelming to many. Yet, she met life with a spirit full of love, resilience, and happiness.
Surrounded by a devoted family and a community of support, Rachel didn’t just live, she truly experienced life. Her Journey carried her across the country and became a large part of her story. She was born in Rochester, Michigan and made lasting memories in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Florida, but Michigan is her forever home.
Rachel found joy in the little things and magic in the big ones. Whether she was enjoying the wonders of Disney adventures, getting lost in her favorite puzzles, or watching beloved movies and shows like Fly Away Home, Free Willy, Flipper, Full House and Little House on the Prairie.
A person like Rachel reminds us all what it means to love, show kindness, and to cherish each day even while facing difficulty. She always had a smile on her face. Rachel's life and journey will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Rachel's honor, to any of the following charities: Special Olympics of Michigan, Make a Wish Foundation, or Easterseals.
