Raymond Ellis Heyse; of Oxford; age 91; passed away on October 8, 2019. Raymond is the beloved husband of Jan for 66 years; loving father of the late Terrie (Leon) Cudnohufsky, Bruce (Peggy) Heyse, Wendy Gray and Hollee (Kevin) Keel; loving grandfather of Joel (Katie) Cudnohufsky, Sarah (Jared) Cavis, Alli (Michael Kaplan) Heyse, Nick Heyse, Devin Cudnohufsky, Dan (Sam) Gray and Meghan Gordon; and dear great grandfather of Lane, Clara, Anthony and Hunter. He is also the dear brother of Carol (Bob) Graham. Ray and Jan met at Michigan State and graduated in 1953. After 33 1/2 years, Ray retired from Ford Tractor. He enjoyed golfing with Jan, traveling, camping with his family in Ludington, wintering in Gold Canyon, Arizona and rooting for the Spartans. Ray was an active volunteer with the Oxford/Orion F.I.S.H., a proud member of the Church Street Singers and a longtime member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church and Choir. Singing was what Ray enjoyed most, and it will be what everyone remembers most about him. Ever since he was a young man, Ray’s voice could be heard crooning a tune, blessing those at church, serenading those at the family weddings, and entertaining his fellow residents at the Independence Village. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and dear friends. Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11am at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-5pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mrs. C. Beverly Music Fund in honor of Raymond Heyse, c/o Birmingham Education Foundation, 31301 Evergreen, Road, Beverly Hills, Michigan 48025
