Reverend Thomas Johnson, Jr.; age 71; of Pontiac, Michigan; went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2007; loving husband of Nellie Manley Johnson; father of 16 beautiful children; one sister; two brothers; two deceased sisters and one deceased son; grandfather of 52; and great grandfather of 67. Rev. Johnson was Pastor of Prospect M.B. Church, 351 Prospect St. Pontiac. He retired from the City of Pontiac after 23 years of service. Family hour will be held Sunday, September 16, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007 from the Monument of Faith M.B. Church, 378 Auburn Rd. Pontiac. Reverend James Keys Pastor. Eulogy Reverend Tom Hamilton of Colfax, LA and Reverend Ernest Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends at the church at 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
